Stranger Things star Grace Van Dien shared the gruesome reasons why she is rejecting acting jobs and has decided to focus on creating content.

Grace Van Dien gained popularity in 2022 when she played Chrissy Cunningham in the fourth season of Stranger Things. This popularity translated into new viewers on her Twitch channel BlueFille, where she has amassed over 312,000 followers.

On stream, Van Dien shared the sad reality that many young actresses face and have denounced over the years.

Stranger Things star is choosing Twitch over acting

Van Dien, who recently was a presenter at the Streamer Awards, revealed she’s been turning down acting projects.

“The fact of the matter is, the last few projects I worked on, I didn’t have the best experiences,” said Van Dien.

The streamer and actress revealed that of the actresses in the project was a producer’s girlfriend. Encouraged by the producer, the actress asked Van Dien to have a threesome with them.

After that experience, Van Dien decided to focus more on streaming and content creation. The actress has three upcoming projects that are in the post-production stage.

“As I get older, my work priorities are changing. I’m waiting for the right project/the right people to work with. It’s nice to feel calm,” the actress shared on Twitter.

Every day, more celebrities and artists in the mainstream media are turning to independent content creation platforms like Twitch. One example is rapper and producer TPAIN, who won Best Music Streamer in the Streamer Awards.

TPAIN combines music and gaming on his Twitch channel, where he has over 898,000 followers. Some of TPAIN’s favorite games are Assetto Corsa, Warzone 2.0, and Modern Warfare.

Streaming on Twitch gives TPAIN and Van Dien the opportunity to connect directly with their fans At the same time, they create content they believe in without a middleman dictating what direction they should take.
